The Lord of the Rings Series

The Lord of the Rings

Humans are not supposed to be robots. So obviously the world would look very gloomy for any tech guy without something to take mind off from time to time.

I love reading novels but don’t have much time to read as I would have liked. I used to read many Sinhala novels in the past and still love works by Martin Wickramasinhe and W.A. Silva which are superb and ageless. However, my impression on new Sinhala books are not up to the notch (might be I’m wrong there and don’t look hard enough) so nowadays try to find solace in English literature mostly.

There is a novel series that I worship twice a day that goes by the name Lord of the rings. Yeah, as you might have guessed already I’m a big fantasy lover and LOTR is the crown of glory in the genre (How cool it would be if I could learn and talk Sindarin or Quenya someday?). Other than Tolkien, Dan Brown, Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain & Jules Verne comes to the top of my favourite authors list.

But forget about popular names, there is plenty of talent all around. is one such site that has been there for some time acting as one global cafeteria for young writers. Time to time I find gems from there that act as a good stress reliever.

  1. At present, I believe there are only few good sinhala novels. All of those are understabble. They don’t include any difficult sinahala word. I am amazing you say “but I can’t reference to any of them in net”. You do not need surfing Internet.
